The Pearls For Life Foundation, Inc. (PFLF, Inc.) in collaboration with the Rho Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® are offering scholarships to the 2022 - 2023 graduating seniors of Muscogee, Harris, Talbot, Marion, Lee, Chattahoochee , Smith Station and Russell County schools. The application process takes place in two stages, the application review and the official interview. A scoring rubric is used for both stages. For the application review, the responses are scored based on the following criteria:
(1) Academic performance
(2) Character
(3) Citizenship
(4) School involvement
(5) Community involvement.
Applicants must earn a designated MINIMUM score on the application review in order to receive an invitation for an official interview.
Seniors interested in applying for the PFLF, Inc Scholarship can access the application using the link below. The application must return the application via email. There is no mail in option this year.
For email submissions of all parts of the application, adhere to the guidelines listed below.
1. Open the application using Lumen (third party app) or Adobe Reader RC to access the fillable form.
2. Complete the application and save it using the following name format:
2023_first and last name _PFLF Scholarship
Email the completed application to your appropriate school counselor for them to complete their portion.
3. School Counselors: Use an electronic signature to sign off on your portion in the student’s application. Acceptable signature fonts are Great Vibes or ANY Script font (i.e., French Script MT, Kunstler Script, Edwardian Script ITC, etc.) large enough to fit clearly in the space provided for your signature. Complete ALL portions in the HIGH SCHOOL ONLY section of the application.
4. Electronic Submission: the application, PROFESSIONAL senior yearbook photo and typed essay responses can be emailed to pflfscholarship@gmail.com. Please put the applicant's full name and school in the subject line of the email.
5. Electronic Submission: The two (2) Letters of Recommendation should be emailed directly from the recommender’s professional email address to pflfscholarship@gmail.com. Please put the applicant's full name and school in the subject line of the email.
The submission deadline for ALL applications is Friday, March 31, 2023
INFORMATION UPDATE
ALL counselors have been asked to submit just the application once they have completed their portion. Some counselors have asked to send the entire application in for the student. If this happens, student/parent do not be alarmed. Take all paperwork to the counselor for proper email submission.
Otherwise, students submit your typed, completed application, Senior Yearbook Photo and essay writing prompts to pflfscholarship@gmail.com. NOTE: Your recommenders can submit their letters to us directly using the guidelines for recommendation submissions.
2023 PFLF Scholarship Application
